The M. R. Nelson Group, LLC is a unique business with a model based on consulting engagements and continuous development of in-house projects for spin off into their own Business Units and Business Groups. Ideas for projects can come from anywhere, and are particularly encouraged when coming from members. Our chief input is ideas and our chief product is solutions. We will restrict ourselves no more than that.
We recognize, as others have, that the flash of inspiration is only a small part of turning an idea into something useful. (Edison himself only credited inspiration with being 1% of genius, if you'll recall.) It is the execution of an idea and innovation over time that takes the inspiration and creates something around which a revenue model can be built. To that end, we have placed our ideas front and center here on the Internet and will continue to do so. There are far too many good ideas worth pursuing for any one individual or organization to attempt to create a hoard in the belief that they have any value without being released into fulfillment of some sort. This website is meant to be a place of open and intelligent discussion in the hopes that we and many others will be able to take the ideas thus revealed and actually do something productive with them (as mom always suggested).
Thomas Jefferson understood the nature of ideas:
"If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of it."

If only our current legislators and regulators had such understanding of so simple a concept.
So we have this website. Behind this website there is a business. The business is structured as a Limited Liability Corporation. In the LLC structure, we refer to 'members' of the LLC, but they are treated as partners in both the real sense of the word and for tax and accounting purposes. When we are not engaged in doing the work to turn our own ideas into reality, we are available on a contract basis to evaluate, generate and even execute ideas for your company.
